Celebrate New Year’s Eve with rooftop sophistication or an indulgent dining experience at Penelope’s
AMANO Covent Garden has revealed the next stage in the evolution of its renowned rooftop destination: a newly enclosed winter terrace designed to offer one of London’s most elegant rooftop settings in any season.
The reimagined space, now called The Glasshouse at AMANO, features a contemporary glass enclosure equipped with a retractable roof and sliding doors, allowing uninterrupted views of the city skyline while ensuring warmth and comfort throughout the year. With room for up to 100 guests on the terrace and an additional 80 indoors, the venue is now available for private hire during the winter period for the first time.
Launched just in time for festive celebrations, The Glasshouse is open for Christmas gatherings, winter weddings, corporate events and exclusive seasonal dinners. This is more than a winter terrace—this is The Glasshouse at AMANO.
For New Year’s Eve, the hotel invites guests to greet 2026 with two standout celebrations under one roof, including the inaugural NYE event inside the newly enclosed Glasshouse. Guests can head up to the Rooftop Bar for what promises to be Covent Garden’s most sought-after New Year’s party. Set on the seventh floor with a sophisticated indoor bar and the brand-new enclosed terrace, the venue ensures comfort and glamour regardless of the winter weather.
Those attending can enjoy sweeping views across London, including an unrivalled perspective of the capital’s famous fireworks display at midnight. The night includes complimentary canapés, a bespoke drinks selection, live entertainment from AMANO’s resident DJ and saxophonist, and a sparkling midnight countdown.
Standing and seating options start from £175 per person, with tickets available to book here.
Meanwhile, Penelope’s offers a New Year’s Eve celebration built around an indulgent dining experience. For £120 per guest, the evening begins with Champagne followed by an extravagant multi-course menu designed to be shared by the table. Dishes include a Pintox Board with Serrano jamón, marinated olives, ox cheek croquettes and pan con tomate; fresh oysters with compressed apple and jalapeño aioli; mushroom parfait en croûte; langoustine cocktail; grilled baby chicken; 400g sirloin with matbucha sauce; and half lobster served with fideuà and saffron Thermidor sauce. Dessert arrives as a decadent sharing board featuring baklava cheesecake, turrón, halva, Turkish delight and coconut custard tart.
Once dinner concludes, Penelope’s evolves into a vibrant late-night celebration with DJ Babe Sila and a saxophonist providing the soundtrack. Guests can expect sparklers, Champagne toasts, shared shots and dancing that lasts until 2am.
