EatClub and Acme Fire Cult have launched The Restaurant Festival, Hackney, a month-long event that celebrates local restaurants and helps diners access some of the borough’s most popular tables.
Running from 1 to 28 February, the chef-led festival aims to increase footfall during a quieter trading period. It focuses on a limited number of offer-led tables at some of Hackney’s most in-demand independent restaurants.
Curated by Acme and powered by EatClub, the festival brings together a selected group of restaurant owners under one local campaign. The goal is to support the hospitality sector, highlight Hackney’s food talent, and make top restaurants more affordable for diners during February.
EatClub will drive daily engagement through exclusive 40% dining offers at all participating venues. This helps restaurants increase revenue while connecting them with EatClub’s active community of diners.
Confirmed restaurants include Acme Fire Cult, Mangal 2, Papi, Tom’s Pasta, Corrochio’s, Alber’s, My Neighbours the Dumplings, Sune, Oren, Berber & Q and Big Night. More venues will be announced in the coming weeks. The line-up reflects Hackney’s diverse food scene, from long-standing favourites to newer restaurants popular with locals and visitors.
Pan Koutlakis, Chief Executive Officer of EatClub commented: “February is a tough month for many restaurants so we have built this festival with one simple goal in mind: filling more tables at the time restaurants need them most. By partnering EatClub’s smart dining technology with operators we admire, like Acme Fire Cult, we’re able to drive real footfall, introduce restaurants to new diners, and celebrate the neighbourhoods that make London’s food scene so special.”
Paul Rosser, Director of Acme Fire Cult said: “I’ve always admired the impact of New York Restaurant Week in making top restaurants accessible to everyone, and this inspired our festival. Hackney has a vibrant and rapidly evolving food scene, with creative, independent restaurants that are deeply rooted in the local community. By partnering with EatClub to offer diners up to 40% off, we hope to encourage people to explore these restaurants, celebrate the stories behind them, and support our borough’s local dining scene. Launching in February also helps restaurants through one of the quieter periods of the year, keeping these local institutions thriving while giving people a chance to get out, socialize, and enjoy the incredible food Hackney has to offer”
The Restaurant Festival, Hackney reflects a shared aim from EatClub and Acme Fire Cult to support independent restaurants through practical action. The festival combines a strong consumer offer with clear storytelling and targeted marketing to bring new energy to the area during February.
To join the festival, diners need to download and register on the EatClub app. The app is free to use. Users can browse the participating restaurants and walk in to access the 40% discount. The offer is redeemed in-app at payment by linking a bank card and paying through the platform. This creates a smooth process for both diners and restaurants. EatClub’s goal is to help restaurants fill empty tables while giving customers access to quality dining at good value.
