Freak Momma to open on 11 November 2025 in Parsons Green

Chef Scott Hallsworth — known for cult favourites Freak Scene and Kuroyoko — is reimagining his Parsons Green site with his most expressive concept to date. Opening 11 November 2025 at 28 Parsons Green Lane, London SW6 4HS, Freak Momma promises a riot of playful flavour, personality, and high-energy dining.

Freak Momma amplifies the irreverent attitude of Freak Scene, channelling its mischievous edge into something even bigger and bolder. Positioned as a Japanese super-diner, the space blends Tokyo izakaya vibrancy with classic diner indulgence, resulting in a setting that’s loud, joyful and full of character — a place driven by creativity and unashamed flavour.

The menu is a lively mix of punchy sharing plates and indulgent diner-inspired dishes. Highlights include Singapore Butter Ribs (£12) glazed in condensed milk, curry leaf and soy; Sashimi Tacos (£9) finished with truffle mayo; and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls (£10). Signature mains include the Freak Momma Burger (£16) stacked with crispy five-spice duck, and the Izakaya Smash (£12) topped with BBQ onions and liquid miso-cheese sauce.

Desserts lean into full nostalgia and decadence. Guests can try the Pecan Pie Sundae (£9) or the Elvis Toast (£9), featuring fried cinnamon shokupan layered with peanut butter mousse, blueberry jam, whipped banana crème and crispy pancetta.

Hallsworth built his reputation at Nobu London, where he rose to the position of Head Chef, before founding the acclaimed Kurobuta and later Freak Scene. Freak Scene and Kuroyoko continue to define his signature style — playful, precise and unapologetically flavour-forward — with Freak Momma set to be his most daring expression yet.

Freak Momma opens on Tuesday 11 November 2025.
