The US-based bakery-café chain, Panera Bread, has rolled out an extensive update to its menu named ‘New Era’, featuring nine innovative dishes and improvements to twelve classic favourites.

Enhancements have been made to several popular items including the Grilled Chicken & Avo BLT, the Turkey & Cheddar Sandwich, the Caesar Salad with Chicken, the Greek Salad with Chicken, the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad, the Green Goddess Chicken Cobb Salad, and the Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad.

This menu overhaul was driven by substantial customer input and focuses on offering a broader selection of dishes priced under $10.

Panera Bread’s CEO, José Alberto Dueñas, expressed his enthusiasm about the update, saying: “The New Era at Panera marks an important and exciting evolution for the brand, one where we are focused on listening to our guests and delivering what they want most.

“That means serving great food made just for you, with the right combination of amazing taste, quality ingredients and value.

“We are transforming and returning to what our guests love, which will propel Panera into the future as we continue to serve food our guests feel good about eating.”

The new menu items have been introduced across all the company’s bakery-cafés nationwide. Highlights from the new offerings include the Toasted Italiano, the Chicken Bacon Rancher, and the Ciabatta Cheesesteak. Further additions include the Tomato Basil BLT, Mediterranean Chicken Greens with Grains, Southwest Chicken Ranch, Balsamic Chicken Greens with Grains, Ranch Cobb Salad, and Bacon Mac & Cheese.

Additionally, Panera Bread has revitalised 12 existing menu items, including the Chipotle Chicken Avo Melt, the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken Sandwich, the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Melt, the Toasted Frontega Chicken Sandwich, and the Bravo Club Sandwich.
