A melting pot of global cuisines and entertainment is coming to Vauxhall, as Metropolis London opens its doors at Albert Embankment’s Railway Arches this summer. With eleven of the best street food vendors all under one roof, this bustling venue is a foodie paradise and so much more, with an expansive space showcasing up and coming talent, music, and sports.

Open seven days a week from 11am, Metropolis will be a vibrant hub of activity from lunchtime til late, with signature cocktails, craft beers, and diverse dishes available to enjoy under the arches, or sip and snack out on the alfresco terrace.

When it comes to street food, big decisions must be made – with endless options to choose from. At Chipsy, expect loaded fries and a smoked BBQ feast, whilst Birria Taco brings Cal-Mex style tacos and ramen with a twist. At Sekushi it’s all about Japanese & Pan-Asian dishes with feel-good flavours and fresh ingredients, and from Karapincha, enjoy Sri Lankan food inspired by family recipes.

Fresco Trattoria Pizzeria tosses up a treat with fresh Neapolitan dough, with Lorenzo Kusina serving up soul food with a Filipino twist. Steak fans are seriously well catered for at O’Gosht; whilst it’s all about Uzbekistan dumplings at OshPaz; and for a sandwich experience like no other, head to the award-winning Sexy Buns. Saviours on a summer’s day, Gelato Lab will offer flavours galore from the Ice Cream Union with ice cold mylk and fruit teas from Nuttea.

Over in the entertainment arch, a stage is front and centre, setting Metropolis apart from the standard food halls. From bands to bingo, comedy to cabaret, LGBTQ+ friendly events to cooking master classes, there’s a performance for everyone with event listings all year-round. Looking for a spot to settle down and watch sport? With screens aplenty, this is the Vauxhall hotspot to catch all the action, including The Euros and Wimbledon, plus all the major rugby and cricket fixtures.
