Buvette will open its first London location in Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden, in spring 2026. The restaurant is led by award-winning chef Jody Williams, who founded Buvette in New York.

The London site will take over the former St. John Bakery space in Neal’s Yard. The venue will operate as an all-day “gastrothèque” with space for around 80 guests, alongside additional seating on the yard-facing terrace.

Buvette will open from breakfast through to late evening. The format allows for flexible visits, including morning coffee, lunch, or drinks and supper after the theatre. The concept focuses on informal dining and ease, suited to the pace of Covent Garden.

Jody Williams opened the first Buvette in New York’s West Village 14 years ago. Since then, the brand has expanded internationally, with locations in Paris, Tokyo, and Seoul. The London opening marks the next stage of its growth.

Williams is a James Beard Award-winning chef and restaurateur. Alongside her wife Rita Sodi, she also co-owns several established restaurants, including Via Carota, I Sodi, The Commerce Inn, and Bar Pisellino.

The London restaurant will be located at 2 Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden, WC2H 9DP. Further details will be shared ahead of the opening.
