Brits’ biggest morning ‘wins’ include an early workout, a nutritious breakfast, and leaving the house on time.

A poll of 2,035 adults found 91 per cent consider succeeding at certain morning tasks – like getting the kids to school on schedule and surviving the commute – to be ‘victories’.

With other such acts including making the bed, finding a pair of socks which match, and even brushing their teeth.

The research was commissioned by Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE which has teamed-up with TV star Adam Thomas to help the commuters in London celebrate their morning wins.

The public were given the chance to cross a finish line which featured confetti cannons, medals, flowers, a crowd of supporters following their ‘morning marathon’ of chores.

This comes after the poll found 36 per cent of adults complete 13 chores before 9am during a typical day.

But only 35 per cent of everyone polled celebrate such victories.

While 26 per cent admit they struggle to crack a smile first thing in the morning.

Waterloo Road star, Adam Thomas, who has been appointed ‘Head Daymaker’ by the iced coffee brand, said: “Our research shows that more than a third of Brits say they need a pick-me-up most before 9:05am, which is why I’m delighted I was able to give them exactly that!

“I see myself as a positive, family man and often share content on my social channels to make people smile.

“So making someone else’s day is the ultimate pick-me-up and I can’t think of a better way to put a smile on someone’s face than with their very own marathon-worthy finish line.”

Other morning wins include remembering to put the bins out and managing to get through the morning without making small talk.

Getting to work on time, finding a parking space, and remembering to take a packed lunch are also considered to be achievements.

Georgia Lightbody from Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE said: “Our data reveals that 31 per cent say getting out of bed on time is their biggest challenge – which is why we wanted to provide Brits with a much-needed pick-me-up in the AM.

“We’re all about encouraging people to grab life by the latte, which means celebrating every little win, whether it’s surviving the commute or making it out the house on time!”
