Supa Ya Ramen, the much-loved underground ramen supper club, is making its long-awaited comeback this October with a new residency at Arcade in Tottenham Court Road. Following a string of highly acclaimed pop-ups and sell-out supper clubs, the cult ramen brand is set to reignite London’s appetite for its “traditionally inauthentic” bowls that once drew queues stretching around the block.
Led by owner and chef Luke Findlay, Supa Ya continues to push boundaries with bold, unconventional flavour pairings and a playful approach to Japanese ramen. The refreshed menu reflects Findlay’s British culinary roots, honed during his time at some of London’s leading kitchens including The Hand & Flowers, NOPI, Patty & Bun, and as Head Chef at Berber & Q in Spitalfields. Identifying a gap in the market for a distinctive, rebellious ramen concept, Findlay launched Supa Ya Ramen to bring a fresh, unorthodox twist to the city’s dining scene.
The Supa Ya journey began in Findlay’s Hackney home, where he hosted weekly supper clubs serving experimental versions of classic ramen to eager guests gathered in his kitchen. From those humble beginnings, Supa Ya’s popularity exploded, leading to a succession of sold-out pop-ups, collaborations, and restaurant takeovers. Although its previous sites closed in recent years, the brand’s residency at Arcade Tottenham Court Road marks a triumphant return — and Supa Ya is back with vengeance.
Committed to bold flavours and creative reinvention, Supa Ya aims to transport diners from London to Tokyo, serving dishes that fuse Japanese culinary heritage with the comforting tastes of British cooking. Standout bowls on the new menu include the roast chicken and corn ramen, made with chicken soup, sesame miso, roast garlic oil, buttered chilli corn, roast chicken, fried garlic, green onions, and a fudgy egg, as well as the maple glazed pumpkin and chilli crunch ramen, featuring roast vegetable and olive oil soup, sesame miso, maple glazed pumpkin, Supa Ya chilli crunch, green onions, and a fudgy egg. Smaller sharing plates will feature heritage tomatoes with ponzu vinaigrette and fennel seed furikake, alongside fried chicken coated in apricot glaze and white sesame.
Speaking on the forthcoming residency, Findlay said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be opening our new residency at Arcade Food Hall, it’s such an iconic location in the heart of the city. After the difficult decision to close our doors in 2024, being able to return with a fresh start in such a vibrant setting feels incredibly special. Arcade brings together some of the most exciting food talent in London, and we can’t wait to share our dishes with both familiar faces and new guests in this buzzing space.”
Supa Ya Ramen will officially open its doors at Arcade Tottenham Court Road on 16 October 2025, with reservations now open for what promises to be one of London’s most exciting culinary comebacks.
