Kricket Shoreditch, celebrated for its vibrant all-day Kafé concept, has unveiled its latest innovation – the £15 ‘Breakfast Thali’, a tasting-style morning feast that’s as colourful as it is flavourful. Launching on 20 October to coincide with Diwali, the festival of new beginnings, the Breakfast Thali offers a contemporary take on breakfast with a curated selection of Kricket’s signature dishes. To mark the launch, Kricket will be giving away the first 30 Breakfast Thalis ordered each day between 20 and 31 October, completely free of charge, available to both walk-ins and those with bookings.

Priced at £15 per person, the Breakfast Thali provides a generous and diverse spread designed to delight the senses. At its centre sits a soft, fluffy pao – a classic Indian bread roll – with the choice of fillings such as crispy bacon and tangy tomato chutney, spicy Goan sausage with salli potatoes, or a sunny-side-up fried egg.

Alongside the pao, diners can enjoy a selection of Kricket’s most-loved breakfast creations. Highlights include eggs bhurji – a richly spiced, melt-in-the-mouth Indian-style scrambled egg – paired with Kricket’s twist on morning favourites: crispy Andhra hash browns, grilled mushrooms, and a bold tamarind brown chutney offering a punchy alternative to the traditional brown sauce. Completing the spread is a warming chole for an added layer of spice, and a silky vanilla shrikhand – a nod to the herder’s breakfast of Gujarati and Marathi origins – served with homemade granola, fresh blackberries, and seasonal fruit salad. Each Breakfast Thali is accompanied by a cup of Kricket’s signature Masala Chai, brewed fresh each morning for a comforting, aromatic finish.

Will Bowlby, co-founder and executive chef, said: “We’re passionate about our breakfast menu, but it’s hard to convince people to change their routine. The Breakfast Thali solves that; it’s the best way to try everything in one sitting. It lets the food do the talking, and once people get a proper taste of the variety here, we know they’ll be back.”

Available from 20 October, the Breakfast Thali will feature on the Kricket Shoreditch menu at £15 per person, served from 8am on weekdays and from 9am at weekends. As part of the launch celebrations, Kricket will offer the first 30 Breakfast Thalis ordered each day between 20 and 31 October free of charge, either by booking or walk-in. Whether you’re fuelling an early meeting or easing into a relaxed weekend, the Breakfast Thali offers a delicious new way to start your day – and a true taste of what makes a Kricket breakfast special.
