Nush Foods, the award-winning British producer celebrated for its dairy-free and soya-free live almond yogs and creamy spreads, is spotlighting its protein-packed almond yog range this Veganuary.

Following extensive recipe development, Nush has crafted a richer, thicker, and even more flavourful almond yog, fortified with sustainably sourced plant protein made from responsibly grown European almonds combined with fava protein.

Founded in 2016 by former police officers turned plant-based innovators Bethany and Paul Eaton, Nush was created to introduce a delicious dairy-free alternative to yoghurt. Utilising her background in nutrition, Bethany selected functional ingredients designed to support wellbeing and nourishment.

“At Nush, we prove that dairy-free doesn’t have to be bland or boring,” said Bethany. “Our recipe combines almond goodness with the protein benefits of fava protein, offering a delicious and nutritious dairy-free option. There’s no high-protein plant-based yog in the market that doesn’t contain soya, so I wanted to create something that tastes amazing too!”

Ideal for those seeking a nutritious lifestyle choice free from dairy, soya, refined sugar, and gluten, Nush’s high-protein almond yogs respond to increasing demand for protein-forward products. Sales in the category grew 16.6% over the past year (NIQ 52 w/e 27 July 2024). This surge highlights a growing appetite for products that support everyday wellness, boosted by the natural benefits of almonds and fava protein.

The improved recipe is available across the existing flavour range: Natural (350g and 120g), Strawberry (350g and 120g), Blueberry (350g and 120g), and Raspberry (350g), along with Vanilla Fudge (350g). The Vanilla Fudge variant features a refined-sugar-free coconut caramel for a lighter, indulgent treat.

For busy lifestyles, Nush also offers handheld almond yog tubes in Blueberry and Strawberry, available in 5 x 40g multipacks from Ocado – perfect for lunchboxes, gym bags, or snacks on the move.

In addition to yogs, Nush produces award-winning almond creamy spreads, containing 60 almonds per tub, offering a wholesome alternative to cheese. Made without dairy, gluten, soya, coconut, or additives, they serve beautifully on sandwiches, jacket potatoes, or as a quick dip.

Nush products are stocked nationwide at Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Marks and Spencer, Planet Organic, Whole Foods, and independent health retailers. The 350g almond yog pots are priced at an RRP of £3.25.
