Aston Villa Football Club has unveiled a landmark partnership with Michelin-starred chef and lifelong Villa supporter Brad Carter, who will bring his culinary expertise to the club’s exclusive 150 Club at Villa Park, creating an extraordinary dining experience for fans and guests alike.
The collaboration unites two Birmingham icons — Aston Villa and Brad Carter — whose creative flair and dedication to excellence have helped define the city’s cultural and culinary identity. Known for his ingredient-led, innovative cooking, Brad has played a pivotal role in putting Birmingham’s gastronomy on the global stage.
A devoted Aston Villa fan since childhood, Brad’s arrival at his boyhood club marks an exciting new chapter in both his illustrious career and the evolution of Villa Park’s hospitality offering.
“This is home for me; Villa Park and Birmingham. To bring my food to the club I’ve loved all my life is beyond special,” said Brad Carter. “I want to give supporters and guests a true taste of Birmingham, playful, rooted in the seasons and served with the passion only Villa can inspire.”
Brad first rose to prominence with Carters, the acclaimed Moseley restaurant he co-founded with his wife Holly in 2010, just a few miles from his birthplace. The restaurant quickly earned widespread recognition for its seasonal, sustainable approach to modern British cuisine, receiving the Good Food Guide Readers’ Restaurant of the Year award in 2013 and a Michelin Star in 2015, alongside numerous honours including Sustainable Chef of the Year in 2018.
Beyond his Michelin-starred restaurant, Brad has continued to innovate through ventures such as One Star Döner Bar — a creative reinterpretation of Berlin-style kebabs with a focus on quality and sustainability — and Island, a modern surf-and-turf concept developed with fellow chef Tom Brown.
Laura Worsey of Aston Villa Football Club said: “Brad Carter is a Birmingham icon, just like Aston Villa. We are thrilled to welcome him home to Villa Park. This partnership is about elevating the matchday experience and celebrating the best our city has to offer, both on and off the pitch.”
Founded in 1874, Aston Villa remains one of England’s oldest and most successful football clubs, boasting seven league titles, seven FA Cups, five League Cups, and a European Cup. The introduction of Brad Carter at the 150 Club underscores the club’s dedication to excellence not only in football but across every element of the supporter experience.
The new 150 Club will feature three exclusive menus crafted by Brad Carter and his team, offering guests an unforgettable fusion of fine dining and football tradition.
