For a limited period, the exclusive Library Bar at The Ned – usually reserved for members – will open to the public, offering a special Old Fashioned-focused cocktail menu.

London, October 2025: Premium bourbon producer Woodford Reserve has joined forces with The Ned to host a unique takeover of the renowned Library Bar from 27th October to 23rd November, in honour of Old Fashioned Month.

Recognised as one of the earliest recorded cocktails, the Old Fashioned has adapted to the tastes and styles of each generation. From the glamour of the Gilded Age, to the minimalist sophistication seen in the 1960s, and today’s understated luxury, the drink has continued to evolve while retaining its timeless appeal.

Throughout the month, guests and members are invited to enjoy a four-cocktail menu developed by George Simmons, Head of Bars at The Ned. Each drink draws on a defining moment in Woodford Reserve’s heritage, as well as the stylistic influences of its corresponding era. The collection brings together the refined character of the bourbon with The Ned’s distinctive elegance, offering a decade-by-decade exploration through reimagined Old Fashioned serves.

“There are few cocktails as enduring, or as stylish, as the Old Fashioned. This partnership with The Ned allows us to celebrate that legacy, while bringing it to life in a way that feels fresh, fashion-forward and open to all,” says Elizabeth McCall, Woodford Reserve’s Master Distiller. “The Old Fashioned is more than a cocktail; it’s a cultural icon.”

George Simmons, Head of Bars at The Ned, adds: “Woodford Reserve is a timeless classic, and we are delighted to open the Library Bar for the first time to the public – we expect it to be a great success”.

The Old Fashioned Edit will run for the month of November 2025, for members to enjoy as normal and open to the public for walk-ins from 5pm.
