Fairfields Farm, the Essex-based crisp producer and family-run farm, is embracing the Halloween spirit this October with a community celebration designed for children and families in West Bergholt. The farm will host a free miniature pumpkin decorating workshop on 29th October, with further details to be shared via the Fairfields Farm Crisps Facebook page. Young participants will be given a pumpkin to decorate using colourful chalk pens and will take home a bundle of treats — including Fairfields Farm’s homegrown potatoes, their award-winning crisps, and a recipe card featuring spooky snack ideas, from creative jacket potatoes to inventive ways to reuse pumpkins after Halloween.

Robert Strathern, co-founder of Fairfields Farm, shared his excitement about the event, saying: “We wanted to create a fun and welcoming event for the local community, and Halloween felt like the perfect time to do something a little different during half term. The workshop is open to all of our local crisp lovers, especially families looking for something to enjoy together this spooky season. Our team is really looking forward to meeting everyone, getting creative with the pumpkins, and most importantly, having a great time with the community that supports us.”

Spaces for the event are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Families keen to attend are encouraged to book early to secure their spots. Ticket details and booking links will be made available via the Fairfields Farm Crisps Facebook page.

Located in Wormingford, Essex, Fairfields Farm is an award-winning, fourth-generation independent farm celebrated for its hand-cooked, gluten-free and vegan crisps made using its own homegrown potatoes. The brand offers eight distinct flavours, from the timeless Lightly Sea Salted to the savoury, meat-free Roast Rib of Beef. Adding to the festive excitement, Fairfields Farm has recently unveiled a new limited-edition flavour for Christmas 2025 — Honey Roasted Chestnut & Sage.
