Ancient Shepherds, the celebrated restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef Mark Poynton, will host its first Game Dinner on Wednesday 19 November. This one-night-only event will showcase the very best of seasonal British game.

The evening will feature a six-course tasting menu designed to highlight the variety, depth, and character of game meats, with each course thoughtfully paired with complementary ingredients to enhance flavour and texture. Guests will be welcomed with Mark’s signature bread and snacks before the main courses begin.

Among the dishes being served are a Pheasant and Chestnut Terrine accompanied by pickled walnut ketchup and toasted sourdough, followed by a Guinea Fowl and Duck Liver Ballotine with Vin Jaune. The menu will also include Hare Loin and a slow-cooked Leg Ragu paired with red cabbage, white chocolate, and cardamom. Partridge will be presented with Savoy cabbage, truffle and Madeira. To close the evening, guests will enjoy two dessert courses: an Oat Cake featuring Binham Blue cheese and Granny Smith apples, and a Dark Chocolate Tart served with a cooling Yogurt Sorbet.

Tickets for the dinner are priced at £85 per guest, with an optional wine flight available for an additional £65 to accompany each dish. Guests are invited to arrive from 6:30pm, with the dinner commencing at 7pm.
