A refined dining destination inspired by the coastal regions of France is set to open its doors in London next month.
This October marks the highly anticipated opening of Mazarine in the prestigious setting of Hanover Square. Created by restaurateurs Khaled Dandachi and Fred Srouchi, known for their successful launch of Sparrow Italia in Mayfair in 2022, Mazarine introduces a sophisticated new chapter in contemporary French gastronomy to the capital.
Situated directly on Hanover Square among one of London’s most coveted addresses, Mazarine is shaped around the essence of coastal French cuisine: refined, atmospheric and inherently social. The restaurant will present an exceptional seafood-led menu, developed by a culinary team led by a chef previously of LPM, ensuring the highest standards of technique and flavour.
The restaurant’s sensory appeal extends to every element of its design. Interiors by American studio Bolt Design set a warm and contemporary tone, while the style of service will prioritise discretion, warmth, and personal attention — balancing polish with approachability.
Drawing inspiration from the beauty and cadence of coastal life, Mazarine aims to offer a destination where every meal feels both memorable and effortlessly elegant.
Guests can expect a menu built around the finest seafood and wines, curated to appeal to the most discerning palates. Positioned to become both a sophisticated social setting and an inviting retreat, Mazarine welcomes diners seeking originality, finesse, and an elevated dining experience in the heart of London.
The culinary philosophy centres on heritage, skill, and refinement. Dishes are rooted in classical French techniques, enhanced by seasonal ingredients and an unwavering devotion to authenticity, precision, and refined pleasure.
The menu will feature an extensive range of starters, small plates, salads, mains, and sharing dishes, alongside a dedicated raw bar and indulgent desserts, all influenced by the flavours and regional traditions of coastal France.
With seafood taking centre stage, highlights include Smoked Eel Croquettes (or “Croque Mazarine”), Salade Niçoise, Octopus Béarnaise, Raviole of Cornish Crab with lobster broth & citronelle, Le Grand Aïoli Marseillais (salt cod, sea urchin, langoustines, seasonal vegetables), Coquelet with piment d’Espelette, and Aged Filet de Boeuf with truffle sauce.
Ahead of the restaurant’s opening, co-founder Khaled Dandachi shared his perspective: “Mazarine, in all things, aims to epitomize the virtues of timeless refinement, technical perfection, and peerless hospitality in every gesture. At Mazarine, we believe in dining over eating, elegance over opulence, ritual over routine, and guests, above all else.”
Mazarine aspires to take its place among London’s most distinguished fine dining establishments, curating not just exceptional meals but also moments of considered indulgence. Its arrival comes at a time when London’s high-end dining scene continues to evolve with resilience and renewed creative ambition.
