Encona Thai Sriracha Chilli Sauce arrives as demand for bold global flavours continues to rise across Britain.
Encona, one of the UK’s most recognised hot sauce brands, has added a Thai Sriracha Chilli Sauce to its range. The product is now on sale in convenience stores across the country.
Made by Grace Foods UK, the UK’s number one supplier of Caribbean food and drink, the new sauce combines garlic, mild chilli heat and a touch of sweetness. It also contains pieces of chunky pepper mash, which give it a distinct texture. The sauce carries bold flavour without intense heat, making it a practical choice for everyday cooking.
The launch sits within a growing market. According to IMARC Group, the UK hot sauce market was worth around $188.5 million in 2025 and is forecast to reach $279.3 million by 2034. This growth is driven by consumers who are cooking more globally inspired food and seeking out stronger flavours.
Younger consumers and social media are also shaping demand. Hot sauce has shifted from an occasional condiment to a regular kitchen item, as shoppers look for new taste experiences and products with international roots.
Encona has been part of British kitchens since 1975, when its West Indian Original Hot Pepper Sauce became the first authentic Caribbean hot pepper sauce to reach UK supermarket shelves. It launched to serve the country’s growing Caribbean community in the years that followed the Windrush generation.
The brand remains a fixture in many homes today. Its square-shouldered bottle is a familiar sight on kitchen tables across the UK, and over the decades it has built a following that includes Naomi Campbell, Alesha Dixon, Gordon Ramsay, Rylan Clark, Jade Thirlwall and Romesh Ranganathan.
