Following the announcement of e5 Storehouse; V&A East Storehouse’s sole food and drink operator, the e5 team are delighted to share the cafe menu. This will be available from 31st May when e5 Storehouse and V&A East Storehouse opens.

Customers can expect the same quality and consistency that both e5 Bakehouse and Poplar Bakehouse are known for. All products are made with the industrious sourdough technique which produces satisfying and nutritious bread and pastries. e5 Bakehouse strives for each product to contain at least 50% flour with wheat grown at e5’s farm, Fellows Farm in Sussex. The grain is then freshly stoneground and milled on site at e5 Bakehouse. The aim is to bring out as much flavour as possible from the ingredients and seasonal fruit and vegetables, some of which are also grown at Fellows Farm.

Open for breakfast, throughout the day and two evenings a week, e5 Storehouse’s menu covers pastries, breakfast, sandwiches and salads, with vegans and gluten free diets catered for. Menu items will change based on seasonal availability. e5 Storehouse will also operate as a neighbourhood bakery, with some of e5’s most popular loaves available to buy, along with house made granola, jam and coffee beans from Poplar Bakehouse’s roastery.

e5’s pastry team is thrilled to develop a brand new pastry available exclusively at e5 Storehouse. The beautiful Seasonal Tart is made with e5’s signature crisp shortcrust pastry. The tart’s filling will change monthly. Throughout June, it’s a superb salted caramelised nut creation, filled with the best quality pistachios, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts and pecans. A reason in itself to visit.

It couldn’t be an e5 menu without their signature flakey, moreish croissants including the Almond Croissant. A variety of sweet and savoury buns including the best selling Cinnamon Bun and Cheddar Marmite Bun will be available. Cakes include the tart Lemon Drizzle Cake and Carrot Cake. e5’s signature Lemon Butter Scones are served with jam and clotted cream and Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies are on the menu. Savoury treats include the Galette with a seasonal filling and the Spanakopita.

e5’s Chocolate Rye Cookie and a hot drink can be purchased together for just £4.50 during the hours of 4-6pm.

Breakfast is e5’s Breakfast Bun stuffed with frittata and cherry tomatoes, as well as e5’s excellent Granola with yoghurt and Vegan Bircher. For lunch there is a short menu of sandwiches, on e5 bread to change regularly. Choose from a tempting Roast Chicken Baguette with lemon aioli dressing, harissa and white cabbage slaw or, a vegan Focaccia Sandwich with caponata and rocket. A lighter Fattoush Salad of grilled vegetables, pitta crisps and feta is available.
