Kellogg’s has released a new limited-edition cereal, Crunchy Nut Hot Honey Crunchies, bringing a spicy twist to breakfast. The launch marks one of the first spicy cereals available in the UK.

The product arrives as interest in sweet-and-spicy flavour combinations grows. Known online as the “swicy” trend, the blend of heat and sweetness has become popular across restaurants and social media, appearing in dishes from brunch plates to desserts.

Crunchy Nut Hot Honey Crunchies feature honey-coated curls with a mild chilli warmth. The cereal is designed for breakfast, but also suits snacking or an afternoon treat.

The release reflects increasing demand for new flavour formats. Many consumers are now choosing food products that offer variety and contrast, including heat-based seasoning and sauces.

Freya Knight, Marketing Manager for Crunchy Nut, said: “Crunchy Nut has always been about making breakfast more exciting, and Hot Honey takes it up a notch. Sweet meets spicy is a flavour combo that’s on the rise, so why not go bold at breakfast too? As one of the UK’s first swicy breakfast cereals, Hot Honey Crunchies deliver a gentle kick of heat balanced with the golden honey flavour fans already adore. Cereal-lovers are going to go wild for it.”

Crunchy Nut Hot Honey Crunchies will be available for a short period only. Once stock is sold through, the cereal will no longer be available.
