This summer, Geneva will join other Swiss cities in hosting the 14th edition of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, taking place from 02 to 27 July.
London, 01 July 2025: This summer, Switzerland are the proud hosts of the highly anticipated 14th UEFA Women’s EURO 2025, with Geneva set to host five matches during the tournament, including one of the competition’s high stakes semi-finals on Tuesday 22 July.
Held across eight cities in Switzerland, the tournament is set to be the biggest women’s sporting event of the year, and with Geneva set to host five matches, the city is preparing for a month of excitement as top-tier women’s football takes over one of Europe’s most picturesque and culturally vibrant destinations. In anticipation of this major sporting event, Geneva Tourism recently hosted an exclusive 3-day event for international female sporting influencers from ten different nations, inviting them to take on a unique sporting challenge in the city. The event saw participants pair up in their countries, taking on a series of challenges including penalty shootouts, a climbing wall, hiking, rafting, and a mini football match, turning the city into an open-air playground and showcasing all that it has to offer for sports lovers.
